I don’t know if any of you keep up with nail color trends, but last year there was this brown/green color that was all the rage. It was the new neutral. At first I was skeptical of the fad, I didn’t understand why having boring nails was the trend. Eventually, I put a ring on and grew to admire how much better accessories looked when contrasted with a subtle color! After that, I fell in love with the color “My Empire My Rules.” Not only is this color banging (see picture I borrowed below) but I love the name! You can still get it on amazon here and it lasts well over a year (I still have mine and it has yet to go gloopy)
This year’s neutral is another favorite of mine. It’s best described as an eggshell white and is just so striking yet clean and classic. I gave julep’s Eileen a whirl and got these great results (please ignore the copious amounts of unfinished reading in the background I ignored to get my nails done).
My ring finger nail is killing me- it keeps breaking off so I’ve temporarily renamed it stubby in hopes it will grow to prove me wrong.
I’ve been loving this new color and have been getting complements all week long on it. What are your thoughts? Are you a purist or do you like your nails with some spice?
